BIOGRAPHY:

Son of farmers, until the age of 18 Mário lived on his family's farm in the countryside. Passionate about drawings since childhood, he always dreamed of following this profession as a designer.

At the age of 20 he left his hometown Bocaiúva (MG) in search of that dream. He lived in cities like Muriaé (MG), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Florianópolis (SC).

In 2017, after graduating in Fashion Design at the School of Fine Art at UFMG, he spent a season in Italy. Where he perfected his look on Art, Fashion and Design. Returning to Brazil, he started his work as Textile Print Designer, working for several fashion brands and renowned Brazilian and Italian studios. That same year he also became a co-founder of Fratelli Ateliê, a party dress rental house in his hometown.

In 2019, he moved to Curitiba (PR) and became a co-founder of the Rapó Creative prints creation studio in Curitiba.

Throughout his experience in different places, Mário Soares attended several courses and immersions in Art, Fashion, Design and Entrepreneurship.

All these experiences and connections with people, places and culture have refined the artist's stylistic design and aroused the love for telling stories through illustrations. This passion for narratives was the cornerstone for the creation of Galeria Mario Soares that emerged in 2020. An environment with the purpose of telling stories, rescuing memories and bringing Brazilian art to the greatest number of people, in the most diverse places in the world!

 

With the creation of Galeria Mário Soares, he received an invitation to illustrate the screen of the Program Encontro with Fátima Bernardes on Rede Globo, his illustrations were exposed in the program for a week. In addition, he was the Illustrator invited by Casa e Jardim Magazine to illustrate the September Magazine Issue.

The neon-style artist Mário Soares uses a contemporary technique of digital painting with a super modern visual language. He works with themes that portray the daily lives of people from their affective memories added to the experiences, conversations and observations of their experiences in trips made in Brazil abroad. His illustrations are produced with high quality printing (fine art) on fabric. With great care for details, these finishes make your works even richer and more contemporary!
